Papers covering Pines' tenure in the Massachusetts Senate (1987-1998); also includes some material from her years in the House (1973-1978), especially the Massachusetts Bottle Bill. Consisting mainly of legislation, hearing testimony, speeches, floor remarks, correspondence, memoranda, reports, notes, and news clippings, the collection provides an in-depth view of Pines' broad legislative agenda. It further documents her role as Senate Chair of various legislative committees, particularly Commerce and Labor (1989-1993) and Natural Resources and Agriculture (1996-1998).
